Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR.
What we collect
- Account: email address, username, display name, profile photo, bio, postcode.
- Addresses you save for delivery.
- Listings, orders, messages, reviews and reports you create.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store full card details. Sellers' identity checks for payouts are done by Stripe.
- Device data: push notification tokens and basic technical logs.
- Seller tax details: if you sell enough in a year that the law requires us to report you to HMRC (digital platform reporting rules), we ask for your legal name, date of birth, address and National Insurance number or UTR. Your tax ID is encrypted and only used for this report.
Why we use it (lawful bases)
- To provide the marketplace — contract.
- To keep it safe, prevent fraud and resolve disputes — legitimate interests.
- To meet legal duties, such as HMRC platform reporting for sellers — legal obligation.
- Optional marketing — consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
Stripe (payments), our delivery partner (to create labels), our email and hosting providers, and HMRC where the law requires it. Buyers and sellers see only what's needed to complete an order (for example, a delivery name and address on the label).
How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account is open. When you delete your account we remove or anonymise personal data, but keep completed order and payment records for as long as the law requires (usually six years).
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data, object to some uses, and ask for a copy. Get a copy of your data: Profile → Download my data. We'll email you a secure link to a file containing your profile, listings, orders and messages. Delete your account: Profile → Delete account.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
